If you work in NU-sjukvården, NU Health Care

The University West Library and the library within the NU Healthcare are the same library.

If you, as an employee in NU Health Care want to borrow a book or order articles, you need to create a borrower account at the university library.

Books you have reserved will be delivered to you by internal post. If you want the book directly, there is also an option to pick it up yourself at University West, then you need to contact us when you have made your reservation so that we do not send it by internal post.

Log in to your library account with your VGR ID (NB! Not social security number) to see current loans and loan periods.

Are you a student and at the same time employed at NU?

As a student at University West, you have a library account linked to your student ID (e.g. buba0001). Reservations made with a student account are picked up in the library. If you want to have books sent by internal post to your workplace within NU, you need to create an account with your VGR ID and use this account when you make your reservation.

Create a loan account for NU staff

To create or log in to your library account, click on "Log in" in the main menu on the NU library's website.
Once on the page, click on the button "Public or NU staff".
To create a new loan account, click on the link "Do you have an account? Sign up here".
When you register, fill in your VGRid and the department you work at and which will be the place where you get your books with the internal mail.

When you as a NU staff member log in to your loan account, you should never use your social security number, but will only use your VGRid and chosen PIN.

Just fill in your VGRid in the first field, then click "Send" to receive an email with a reset link to your work email to be able to choose a new pin code.

How to create a book reservation

Start by searching for the book you want to borrow via the NU Library's website. In this example, we're looking for a book with the words "Advanced Nursing" in the title.
In the search results list that appears, there is a link, "Reserve", under each book title. Click on this to order the book.
On the text line above, you can check if the book is available.
Click on the "Public or NU staff" button. Fill in your VGRid and PIN code to log in.
After logging in, click on "Confirm reservation" to complete the order. When the book is in, it will be sent from the university by internal mail the next weekday.
After you have made your reservation, you can see it in your library account and delete it in case you change your mind. If the book has already been sent to you, you also need to send it back by internal mail when it arrives. Mark the entry with "University West Library".
