For students and staff
The University West Library opening hours are reduced to
Monday - Friday 10am - 12pm.
Library staff are available via chat, email and telephone during the following times;
Monday to Thursday, 10am - 5pm
Fridays, 10am - 4pm.
Talk to a Librarian via Zoom, every day starting at 2PM.
Do you have a loan?
In the case of loaned books, all loans (including reserved books) will be extended automatically, with return on April 20.
You can return books outside the library during university opening hours (or send them to us by mail).
We only send books by mail to distance students. If you are registered as a campus student and at the moment are studying from home cannot get books sent home.
Do you need to borrow?
You will find a lot of material on the library's website that can help you progress on your own with your information search and your academic writing.
You can also get guidance in information search, referencing and academic writing at a distance, for example via the Meeting tool Zoom. You can book an individual guidance with our librarians at our webpage.
Staff and students, as always, have access to the library's e-resources from home.
Several providers and databases offer all or part of their content for free in the coming weeks. Read more about this on our page about temporary extended access to e-resources.
Are you not a student or an employee of University West?
All books that have already been borrowed will have a new return date on April 20.
