Course literature as talking books (Legimus)
If you have a reading impairment, permanent or temporary, you may be entitled to receive support in the form of a talking book account.
Apply for a talking book account
If you have a disability that makes it difficult for you to read printed text, you can get access to Legimus. Having a disability in itself does not give you the right to an account in Legimus. There must be a connection between the disability and your reading difficulties.
Here you can submit an application for a talking book account in Legimus. Before you applys, read about who is entitled to a talking book account at legimus.se.
You must be registered to a course at University West to get a Legimus account through us. It is not enough to have applied, you need to be admitted to the programme.
After you have submitted your application, we will contact you via your student email. We will book an appointment to ask for complementing information, and if you are entitled to an account we will introduce you to Legimus .
If you already have a Legimus account at another library and want to move it to University West, use the application form.
Order course literature as a talking book
Use this form when the required course literature you need is not available at Legimus.se or the Legimus app.
First, search in Legimus or your reading program to make sure the book is not available.
The book you order should be:
- Compulsory course literature on a course or programme to which you have been admitted.
- The same edition as in your literature list.
Keep in mind that it takes at least 8 weeks to produce a talking book, so look up your course literature well in advance.
