Not on campus?
What can I access when I'm not on campus? Can I access the same material from home?
Do you want to access articles or other e-resources?
If you are at home or outside campus you will reach a login request when trying to access our e-resources. Use your username (eg buba0001 without @student.hv.se) and password to login.
If you click on the article title instead of the "Get from University West" button you will have to log in twice: First with your Swedish personal ID number (YYMMDDXXX) and PIN code (4 digits) and then again with your student username and password. If you are an international student, you have received a temporary Swedish personal ID number from University West that will work as a Swedish personal ID number in the library search system while you are a student at University West.
Are you a distance learner?
As a distance learner, located in Sweden, you have the opportunity to get books sent home to your address. If you are an international distance learner, other terms comply. Read more about how to access material as a distance learner here.
Can anyone borrow and read e-books from home?
No, only if you are a student or an employee and have a university login. As a member of the public you can enter the campus and borrow a computer on site to access our e-resources.
Want to lend one of our computers but you're not a student or employee?
All visitors are welcome to use the library computers and electronic resources, though not for commercial use. If you are not a student or employee at the university, you will need a guest account to be able to use the computers.
