Fees for overdue loans

If the book is returned late, the fee is SEK 10 per book and day.

If your book loan has exceeded 10 days, an invoice will be sent for the replacement of a lost book of SEK 600 per book or purchase price that exceeds this. If you return the book loan, the replacement fee will be cancelled and only the late fee will remain. You can also choose to buy a replacement copy yourself and give it to the library.

Blocked for loans

Borrowers who have exceeded SEK 150 in accumulated fees are blocked for further loans until this fee is paid. Bills for unpaid fees are sent out once per semester.

Interlibrary loan fees

If you want to interlibrary loan a book outside the Nordic region, there is a fee of SEK 100.

How to pay fees

Note! Remember to return your books before you pay with Swish or Bankgiro.

In the library

You can pay by card or Swish at the library's information desk. The library does not handle cash payments.

Swish

You can pay with Swish to number: 123 101 04 38. Specify what you are paying for in the message, such as "fine" or "article order". You cannot make a partial payment of your fee, but must pay the amount in full. When you have made your payment, take a screenshot* of your payment and send this and your Swedish identity number to bibliotek@hv.se. We monitor the Swish account, remove your fee and notify you when it is completed. This takes around 1-4 business days.

* If you can't take a screenshot (it doesn't work on all phones), enter the mobile number you paid with instead.

Bankgiro

If you do not have Swish, you can pay the fee to bankgiro 5210-3439. Mark the payment with your Swedish identity number and what you are paying for, for example "YYYYMMDD-XXXX, fine".
